01 30 ’09, mars and venus collide

From My Perspective:

Before the show I regrettably made faces at Forrest’s mound of Nachos.  At the time they looked most disgusting.  After the fact, I wish I had some right now.

Our first show less than a week after a three day recording jag. All in all it was a good show, and quite special. Bob (from SAETA) played cello with us on Broken Will, Bleeding Heart; as he had on DGH’s album The Lake Effect.

It was also a pleasant surprise to reunite with a couple of my friends (Haleigh and Summer) whom I’ve not seen for many, many long months. Mass, my friend from my long standing sunday night game night, also checked out the show for the first time.

Not to mention, it was my mother’s birthday. Happy B-day Mom.

Here was the setlist that glorious night: Dee. Solidarity. I Became the Ground. Beer From a Bottle. Broken Will, Bleeding Heart. Last Swim of the Year. Knob Creek Neat.

Let’s do this again soon.
