Just a quickie to let you know that you can now buy tickets for our show with Pela, at the Tractor Tavern on May 25th. I'd recommend getting them as soon as you can, because this show will most likely sell out. Pela rule, and they're playing Sasquatch the next day.

Here's the link: Smelliott!

You can also buy them at all Sonic Boom locations in Seattle.

Thanks!

Just a quick note to let you all know that this Saturday, February 2nd, I'm playing a benefit show for the Seattle Human Rights Film Festival, at the High Dive in Seattle.

Also on the bill are Sky Cries Mary, and Voyager One.

The show is pretty early, and is being broadcast live on KEXP. I play at 8pm, but if you tune in a little earlier, you'll get to hear me interviewed, which is always super exciting. In Seattle, you can listen at 90.3 on your FM dial or everywhere else, at KEXP.org.

Hope you can make it out to the show, or check it out on the radio!

Oh yeah, and I'll be playing solo/acoustic for this one.

Just click this handy LINK.

The CD is packaged in a stunning 4-panel digipak, and was designed by my buddy Brandon Miller.

I'll try to update it daily, w/ mostly good stuff (but some shit, I'm sure). Please check it out, and if you're feeling really brave, add it to your favorites.

This means that I'll most likely stop updating this site for the time being. Not that I update it any more, anyway.

08.24.05
Hey Portland Kids! Come join myself and a slew of great Portland bands this Saturday at Dante's. It's a benefit for MF Magazine.

Hi Everyone. I know it's been forever, and I'm sorry about that. To make it up to you, I've posted a live version of my cover of the Low song, "Words", which I recorded with my dear friend Robert Deeble at KEXP, back in August. The actual version of that song appears on "We Could Live in Hope - A Tribute to Low". Check it.

11.03.04

08.09.04
August rules. Despite being hot and muggy, there are a bunch of rad things going down in DGH World.

First and Foremost: "We Could Live in Hope - A Tribute to Low" is released! It doesn't hit stores until September 2nd, but you can purchase it online here, at Fractured Discs , immediately.

I recorded the Low song "Words" in Seattle with my good friend Louis O'Callaghan, AKA the Graze, for the record. My version of "Words" is the first song on the disc, which also features Mark Kozelek from the Red House Painters(!), Migala(!), Idaho(!), and several other incredible artists.

Secondly: The World's greatest radio station, Seattle's KEXP, has been playing my new record, "the Lake Effect", quite a bit lately. So much so, that it's charted at number #41 on the variety charts for this week. That's an all-time DGH high. The record has also been added to several stations throughout the United States and interwebben, so send in your requests!

Thirdly: I'm going to be playing live on KEXP's Audioasis, on Saturday, August 28th at 8pm Pacific Standard Time. You can listen live on thier lovely, and highly interactive website, KEXP.org.

Word.

07.28.04

Recording for the brand new Daniel G. Harmann record, "the Lake Effect", begins at the end of January. Stay tuned for updates, and possibly some new MP3s...

Arizona and California were a ton of fun, and very hot. Extra special thanks to the Q and Not U dudes, Gary Jules and Marko Shafer from the Hotel Cafe, and to Jennifer and Rick for letting the DGH be part of their beautiful wedding.

So... everyone here at DGH world headquarters is very excited, because at the end of October, the DGH will be heading back to Arizona for a couple of shows with Denison Witmer. Check out the updated shows section...

The DGH is currently in Arizona, where he's rocking Modified tonight with Q and Not U. Then there's some hot wedding action. Then LA for a show. Woo, busy.

09.03.02
Wow. What a slacker that DGH is when it comes to updating the site. Yes, but he's been busy. Check out all of the shows in September and beyond.

We're still in the process of booking a small west coast tour for the second week of October. If anyone can help with shows, email DGH at dgh@hellotower.com. Thanks, and we'll see you all very soon...

08.06.02
So, this past Friday was the first show of a new series that Daniel G. Harmann and a few other Seattle songwriters have put together. It took place at the Aurafice Internet & Coffee Bar on Capitol Hill. Robb Benson played it, along with Seth Howard and Louis O'Callaghan, and it couldn't have gone better. It ended up being standing room only. We're doing it every Friday at Aurafice, and are calling the series 'Independents Day'. It's free, and always all ages. If you're interested in playing, feel free to email Daniel through the contact form provided right here on HelloTower.com. This coming Friday, come down to check out Dan Johnson, Matt Duss, & John Purkey. You should check out www.aurafice.com for weekly listings.

The DGH will be playing Aurafice at the end of this month, and twice in September. Check out the newly updated 'Shows' section for the latest...

07.30.02
If you'd like to know the meaning of genius, go here, to Damien Jurado's weblog. You're not likely to find a more humble person out there.

Thanks to Christian and Amanda for letting the DGH rock their wedding this past weekend. It was an honor.

That's all there is to say for now. Goodnight.

07.10.02
Daniel G. Harmann just got back from Arizona, where he fought off lots of girls, played Scrabble, and drank tons of Budweiser with pals the Radar Brothers. He also played a show with them at Modifed. And drank Budweiser. Thanks again to Leslie Barton, for putting the show on, and being the cutest, kindest person in the 602.

Seattle!! Don't forget to go to the YMCA on Friday, July 12, to see tHe Drop, Dear John Letters, Lila, Fear of Little Men, and of course, Daniel G. Harmann. DGH goes on promptly at 8pm, so don't be late.

06.29.02
Man, June was a month of rock. I thought that May was rough, but June was crazy, and we made it through. Only one new show for July, but it's enough to make up for the whole month. Take a looksie at the updated shows page to find out... But there is a lot more updated than just shows, so go find out.

Christian, I owe you a near beer.

05.24.02

Word to the mother. Photos from KEXP's 'Live Room' are now available for your viewing pleasure!

04.15.02
If anyone tells you that driving for 24 hours straight is a fantastic idea, call them a liar, and never trust them again. Despite the hot, stinky ride to Arizona and back, the tour went great. We met some amazing people, and saw some old friends, who we will miss dearly, and anxiously await the day that we get to see them again.

Many, many thanks to Erin Abbott, the Tobias Family, and the Harmann Family for letting us sleep on their floor, eat their food, and spoon their pets.

Extra hugs to Michael Compton, Dan Hargest, Leslie Barton, and Judah, Josh, and Logan from the Velvet Teen. You'll be hard pressed to find more beautiful, honest, and kind hearted souls on this earth.

Oh yeah - Corianton Hale and Kevin Zelko are the best tour buddies/roadies anyone could ask for.

We should have some tour pictures up soon, so keep looking. Talk to you soon...

03.26.02
Two new MP3s have been added! Both of which are new songs, performed on The Live Room last Saturday. Enjoy.

03.22.02
Just two weeks left before we hit the road for our west coast tour. Thanks to everyone who helped set up shows. We weren't able to confirm an official show in LA, but we're going to rock the open mic scene at a coffee shop in Silver Lake with the brilliant songwriter, Michael Compton.

03.18.02
The Live Room on KEXP this past Saturday was amazing. Thanks to the entire crew, especially Abe Beeson for making us feel right at home. Extra special thanks to Heather, Mark, Bilkay, Larry, and Graig for hauling my equipment, (and me...) to and fro. Much love to Corianton for kicking down some unbelieveable piano.

03.15.02
Huey Proudhon and Daniel G. travelled via the bus all the way to Redmond tonight to see the Velvet Teen rock the Ole' Firehouse. They were phenomenal. Can't wait to rock the valley of the sun with those boys. Go buy their record. It comes out on Tuesday, March 19, 2002!

02.03.02
Many, many thanks to everyone who listened to Audioasis on Saturday! Also, muchas gracias to John Richards, Larry Rose, Tom the sound guru, and everyone else at KEXP. It was more fun than a barrel of monkeys.

Extra special thanks to Marc and Keri for trying to tune in all the way from Chicago... Their computer went south on the day of the show, so they couldn't listen. You should check out Marc's killer website: www.marcneedham.com. Especially check it out if you can offer Marc a job. No, seriously.

Keep checking out this site, because we're going to be throwing up some pictures that our pal John E. Hollingsworth shot at KEXP studios that day.

Rock!
